Head Chef Miguel has been in the sushi industry for over 20 years. He gained experience during his years working in different local sushi restaurants in San Diego, CA.
Miguel has worked as Head Sushi Chef at several MLB, NFL and NBA stadiums such as the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Angels, Minnesota Twins, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Giants, New York Jets, New York Red Bulls, San Diego Chargers, Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics.
He also participated in the 2014 NY/NJ Super Bowl and Minneapolis All Star Game.
On August 2014, Miguel and his wife Sonia, started their first business, Uni Sushi Catering, offering corporate catering for hotels and golf courses in the San Diego area.
On May 5th, 2015, they expanded their business with unisushi restaurant, located inside the Chula Vista Shopping Center. The restaurant is family-owned and operated and prides itself on quality ingredients and great customer service.
On the latest update, Uni Sushi Catering joined Dodger Stadium in 2017, covering main events as well as the World Series. This 2018 we have also joined Petco Park and Hotel Del Coronado.
